Last night was the final meeting of the SD Boardgame group before UnPub mini. It was a great meeting at Pair-a-dice games. We started with a run through of "Devil's of our Nature" by E McNeill. The game puts a new spin on classic game theory dilemma's which makes for some tense negotiation and psychological debate.
After "Devi's of our Nature" the group was kind enough to try out "Spaceshipping." Special thanks to Pat Scott for pointing out that the name "Containers" was taken by a 2007 game from Valley Games, Inc. That of course led me to change the name to Spaceshipping, which I think gets at the theme a bit better anyway.

Playtesting with designers is always interesting. On the first turn E was able to break a part of the game... ok, basically he broke everything. Kudos to Pat for encouraging the group to push through anyway, as this gave me some additional insight I would have otherwise missed. It was fortunate that the issue emerged so quickly as I now have a short window to make adjustments before Saturday. Having a group of designers as players also gave me some new perspective on a few different directions I can take the game. Hopefully, the demo at UnPubMini goes more smoothly.
